My Story

First of all, thank you for coming to my website! This is my website for photography, however, I have a whole bunch of passions that I pursue in different capacities!

Clearly, this is just my story regarding photography/art/writing and how I got into it all.

But my TRUE story, the story of who I am and what God has done in my life, is the bigger story to be told. One of being lost and found and then lost and found again and again. I would love to get the opportunity to swap stories with you, even if you’re not interested in anything you see on this website, visit the contact page and let’s chat!

My hope is that anyone who hears my broken story would see God’s redemption abounding above all else. You are a part of making so many of my childhood dreams something real and tangible and that makes me so grateful for you. The way I got to this point is through a little bit of randomness and a lot of God’s grace.

Photography

I got my first DSLR camera when I was 14 years old. Several years later, I got another lens. From then on, I mostly did favors for friends and family- taking graduation pictures, Christmas card pictures, surprise engagements, baby announcements, etc. I have loved and dabbled in photography for so many years, but never really gave myself the chance to embrace it until January 2019! In January I took the leap of faith and started truly pursuing the art of photography. Youtube and sweet friends + family letting me borrow them as models for practice has been my best friend in the learning process.

My Current Equipment: I shoot in RAW format using manual mode with a Canon 5D Mark IV, and (usually) my 35mm 1.4 lens (my second favorite is my 50mm 1.8 lens). I edit using Lightroom and deliver pictures via a personal online gallery through Pass Photographer or a delivered USB key!

Blogging

I’ve been writing creatively since I was in the 4th grade. I have a video of me from a 4th grade project saying my dream job was the be an author one day. My freshman year of college I started up a makeshift blog on VSCO.CO. I love these posts as they walk through all 4 years of college with me cataloging growth, change, and lessons learned. I have an English Minor, so I’ve spent a good chunk of my college career writing creatively and it has been one of my biggest outlets and sweetest connections with God

So, whether you’re here to book a photography session, purchase art, or snoop through some blog posts… I am SO thankful you’ve stumbled across my website! I am so glad you’re here and I hope you leave with something that lifts your spirit- whether that be pictures that make you feel beautiful, a piece of art that brings you joy, or having read some words that make you feel less alone. I’m so joyous you’re here!

“There are so many feet to wash,” I keep saying. “No,” I hear God’s voice resounding through the years, “there are only My feet. What you do for them, you do for Me.”
